![]() WMAS Membership and Activities Membership is free, but tuition is required for each class or workshop, and in every case there will usually be a modest fee to cover expenses for participation in any public show or fieldtrip or to advertise oneself, and one’s work, on the WMAS website All such participation or self-advertising is strictly voluntary Membership applications, classes, workshops, trips, publicity, and general administration are handled by the Coordinator and Instructor with the assistance of member volunteers, whose services are ever welcome In addition to being instructional opportunities, the classes, workshops, fieldtrips, and shows are occasions for member discussion of artistic techniques and related matters, with an emphasis on developing the participants’ knowledge of art and of its techniques and of the “art business” itself The instruction focuses mainly on learning through immediate practical application of basic lessons taught rather than on abstract theory From the start, the WMAS has always been characterized by the warm collegial atmosphere achieved, and maintained, by its membership, in a spirit of encouraging, and helping, each other to enrich their lives through art and their art through their lives Hence our motto: per artes vita ("life through art") To apply or for further information, please contact Firouzeh Sadeghi at (301) 493-8322(Home) or (301) 266-5849 (Cell phone) or FIROUZSADEG@AOL.COM Back Home |
